George Speakman Jr. passed away at home on August 8, 2019 at the age of 99. He was born on September 12, 1919 in Chillicothe, Ohio. 

George was a member of the Army Air Corp in the Pacific and the 4th Armored Division in Europe during WWII. He spent four years, seven months and twenty-three days on active duty; and thirty years in the Army Reserve. 

George was a true 1st Sergeant (E-8) until the day he died. He was one of the founding members of the Military Veterans of Olivedale. He lived life to the fullest; including riding in his little red, two seated convertible he called his “Junior Ferrari”.
